A Two-Part Exhibition by A Magazine Curated By
A Culture of Convergence

n March 2025, A Magazine Curated By launched its anniversary issue in Paris alongside the exhibition 25 Years of Curation and Creation, bringing together 32 past curators through personal objects and silhouettes. Over three weeks, the exhibition welcomed more than 4,000 visitors.
Building on Shanghai’s central role in the global cultural landscape and its dynamic creative industry, the exhibition traveled to China as a meaningful extension of the 25-year celebration — not as a relocation, but as the opening of a new cultural chapter.
The exhibition opened on October 11, 2025, at Suhehaus on the banks of the Suzhou River in Shanghai. It served as the central experience of Labelhood’s Pioneer Fashion & Art Festival and ran concurrently with Shanghai Fashion Week.
Presented within a single scenography conceived by TongTongTong Studio, the exhibition brought together 34 past curators and 24 Chinese designers and designer duos, tracing how ideas, garments and personal objects formed a shared language of creation. What began as a space for dialogue evolved into a living exchange across generations and geographies, between East and West, past and future.

The first half celebrated Labelhood’s twenty seasons of nurturing China’s independent fashion community, highlighting the creativity and community-driven spirit that had defined the platform since its founding. The second half reunited 34 past curators of A Magazine Curated By.

A series of panel talks accompanied the exhibition, spotlighting leading creative voices across seven themes — Nostalgia, Future, Pioneer, Creativity, Making a Magazine, Craft and Community — extending the exhibition’s dialogue beyond the physical space.
