Marni

Francesco Risso brought magic to Milan this season. Marni’s creative director took an Alice in Wonderland inspiration into the sphere of sustainability with a collection created as the result of patching up scraps of fabric. Risso collaborated with master hairstylist Julien D’Ys who splashed the models’ hair and faces with gold and silver paint. The result is an otherworldly collection echoing the burning issues of our terrestrial world.

Missoni

In 1884, English scholar Edwin A. Abbott published his book Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions. The story of a square living in a two-dimensional world and entertaining the possibility of a third dimension has since become a reference both in the science world and in society in general, expanding our perspective on the notion of space. This season, Abbott’s considerations traveled to the world of fashion, as they were the starting point of this Missoni collection: a mix of patterns creating multi-dimensional patchworks on the House’s signature knits.
